squarely at the CIA, which believed that Kennedy had sought to weaken its power. In an explosive July 19, 1967, memo, an unidentified author references a passage in the magazine Ramparts about alleged CIA operative and former U.S. Army Capt. John Garrett Underhill. The quoted piece notes Underhill was on a “first-name basis with the top brass at the Pentagon” and “on intimate terms” with high-ranking CIA officials, in addition to being a friend of Samuel Cummings. They wanted war with the Soviets.” The biggest bombshell in the unveiled files points the finger

traumatically taken from her,” a source close to the Camelot clan tells The National ENQUIRER. “That’s old enough to remember everything but still so young and fragile. That kind of scar just doesn’t go away.” Meanwhile, Jack has gone on the warpath, calling the media coverage of the document dump “f**king stupid” and blasting President Donald Trump’s order to do it “a political prop.” Schlossberg let loose even more venom at podcaster Joe Rogan and his own cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — now serving as Health and Human Services Secretary — who has supported the theory that JFK was killed by American intelligence agencies.

STOIC Caroline Kennedy is trying to put on a brave face after the release of secret documents about the 1963 assassination of her father, President John F. Kennedy, but insiders say it has dredged up horrific memories that continue to haunt the former first daughter. Adding to her misery, her son, Jack Schlossberg, 32, has gone ballistic over the files being made public, unleashing profane and bombastic attacks that have embarrassed Caroline, 67, and the rest of the Kennedy family, the insiders add. “Caroline was almost six when her father was so

“Are you going to go through all the JFK assassination files with your little butt buddy Bobby?” Schlossberg rages at Rogan on social media. Our source says the family is fuming over Jack’s unbridled blathering. RFK Jr.’s daughter Kathleen Kennedy told a media outlet, “I hope [Jack] gets the help he needs.” Our source adds, “Many

provided weapons to Klein’s Sporting Goods — the Chicago mail-order business from which Oswald purchased the Carcano rifle he allegedly used to fire upon Kennedy. The passage also states that on Nov. 23, 1963 — the day after Kennedy was killed — Underhill fled Washington, D.C., for a friend’s house in New Jersey. “Late in the evening he showed up … He was very agitated,” the copy reads. “A small clique within the CIA was responsible for the assassination, he confided, and he was afraid for his life and probably would have to leave the country.” Underhill died in his Washington, D.C., home — nearly six months after Kennedy perished. He was shot behind the ear in what the coroner controversially ruled a suicide. Sources say that Jim Garrison — the crusading New Orleans District Attorney who unsuccessfully brought CIA associate Clay Shaw to trial for Kennedy’s murder — later told a journalist that Underhill had “valuable” intel on JFK’s death and he had wanted to interview him! Moles say the documents contain other tantalizing clues. For example, a November 1991 memo from a CIA official states that he spoke with an American professor with a pal who worked for the KGB, the Soviet Union’s main security agency.

he had been detained at a London airport by immigration officials on July 18, 1963 — four months before JFK’s death — he warned lawmen that Oswald was going to kill the president!

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, former U.S. Marine Oswald was recruited by Soviet spies during his posting as a radar man in Japan — and later defected to the communist country in October 1959, only to return to the U.S. nearly three years later. Other noteworthy nuggets in the previously classified collection include:

a different story, they wouldn’t have turned them over to the National Archives in the first place. “And if they were withholding them before, I’m guessing they would continue to withhold them.” A political insider spills that one motive for the CIA and McCone was that agency bigwigs believed Kennedy intended to break it up into weaker splintered divisions! And as The National ENQUIRER reported in 2017, sources have long suspected that powerhungry LBJ enlisted a sinister cabal of military officials and foreign operatives — in addition to the FBI and CIA — to eliminate Kennedy! Another insider insists, “That missing transcript could provide definitive proof that LBJ, McCone and others were covering up the horrible truth that Kennedy may have been killed by people in his own government!”

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro

AMONG the initial 63,000 pages of released JFK records, sources say there was a glaring omission — the potentially damning transcript of the first conversation immediately after the assassination between Lyndon Baines Johnson, Kennedy’s presidential successor, and then-CIA chief John McCone! Moles believe the document would provide insights into the alleged involvement of the CIA in Kennedy’s tragic murder — especially as LBJ notoriously tried to employ the American spy agency to assassinate communist Cuba’s ruthless dictator Fidel Castro! McCone, who died of cardiac arrest in 1991, was reportedly accused of withholding incendiary information from the Warren Commission, which later ruled that Lee Harvey Oswald was a deranged, lone gunman solely responsible for blowing away JFK. But sources suggest that McCone’s alleged cover-up was an intentional

smokescreen to keep the focus on Oswald — and away from other nefarious forces behind the shooting! James Johnston — author of Murder, Inc.: The CIA Under John F.
